Today is Thursday May 8, 2008

This is not just any 'ol regular Thursday. This is the Thursday that marks the end of my first year of dental hygiene school and the beginning of my senior (LAST) year of college! I honestly can't believe it!!! Tonight we are going out for margaritas to CELEBRATE our accomplishment...

I look back at where I was last May 8th and it is amazing how much I have changed. I have never experienced this much growth in one year; I am a completely different person. I've had my moments of frustration, depression, happiness, fear, lots of fun times and laughter. It has been the most challenging year of my life that has brought me to a better place and has made me into more of the person I want to be.

I have made amazing lifelong friends and have never had so much fun in my life. I am so, extremely grateful for the girls I have bounded with from school. They have been wonderful friends to me...It's really nice to have a group of people who support me and me them...we look out for each other.

And I'm a lucky girl to have a 'friend boy' (as my mother calls it) in my life who can leave me 5 minute voice mails about nothing in particular, dance in his kitchen, put me in my place when needed and can make me laugh even when I'm mad. But, mostly I am grateful to have a man in my life who loves and honors our God and serves as a positive influence on my life. He is quite an amazing person! :)

So, I have 2 wonderful weeks ahead of me where all I have to do is PLAY! Tomorrow, me and 3 of my girlfriends are going to get pedicures...girl time to pamper ourselves for all our hard work this week! This weekend I am going to Austin to go out with friends Saturday night (going to eat at a snazzy 5 star restaurant...hoping not to embarrass myself...I have a tendency of dropping my fork, napkin, glass and snorting when I laugh...) and then Sunday, I am going sailing! :-)

Who's this 'friend boy' you speak of? His name better not start with a "C"!!!! ;-P

Well, actually if it's who you're talking of, then it would start with a 'K', not a 'C'. But no, I was talking more of a man whose name starts with a 'J' or in some instances an 'L'!
